THE UPCOMING FREEDOM OF CAMEROON: GEARING UP AGAINST DICTATOR PAUL BIYA, CPDM REGIME TO LEAVE POWER NOW: WHAT PERSISTENT PRESSURE CAN DO

My fellow Cameroonians  and Africans and members  of the International Community

 Sincere greetings.

Mindful of our common humanity, I am your humble servant the Rev Jonathan Fru Awasom , the champion for our freedom from ignorance and oppression by Dictator Paul Biya and his corrupt government. I here by declare that we are moving in the right direction although we expected  to have overcome by now since we were the first in recent years to stand up for our country, Cameroon.

The love for our fellow Cameroonians and for the rest of humanity living within Cameroon witnessing how my fellow Cameroonians are OPPRESSED under the corrupt tyranny and dictatorship of CPDM Party and regime has grown leaps and bounds.

The United States of America, in most parts, has been a great inspiration for me and has propelled me to become the kind of passionate advocate for freedom that you  always wanted from me. This love for country and humanity is   calling me everyday never to turn back or look back in the past. Also, I am humble by my discovery of the British,Magna Carta( Freedom Charter) , which inspired me to formulate one for Cameroon.

That although each day comes with its own new challenges as we figure out  what could be our best strategy, fact is,  the vision and mission has never been altered or tampered with. Like a sailor  right at the  heart of the lake , we must reach our destination  because we are in this turbulent journey with our God of freedom.

The same God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who freed/liberated the first free people known as the Israelites, the God of Jesus Christ, the God of our forefathers including but not limited to the same God of   President Napoleon Bonaparte of France, the Founding Fathers of the United States( President Thomas Jefferson, James Madison,John Adams in particular, Africa , the Magna Carta, President Abraham Lincoln, Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr, President Nelson Mandela, President Ronald Reagan and all the victims of the civil rights movement has not and will never let us down. Yea , WE MUST BE FREE  in the mighty name of God!

Therefore, in the coming days, I will like us to go the extra-mile with our advocacy and activism to build the coalition that we  need to enable us peacefully ( non-violent revolution) oust dictator Paul Biya and end the CPDM regime.

I am  very confident that we are  very closed to achieving our goal to  free Cameroon and begin to build a free and  virtuous society under a  Free Federal Constitutional Democracy that will guarantee good governance, the rule of law as well as protect the sacred and inherent rights of all people from one tribe to the other, and one region to the other through out Cameroon.

The presence of those we consider as " stakeholders" , which is a term we used to describe free and democratic nations in a diplomatic presence and relationship with Cameroon is a very powerful factor in this struggle, which  we are exploiting to the fullest based on our political asylum within the USA. As you know, I have been calling upon the US Congress to allow me to come and testify about my reasons for seeking asylum within the US.

I need not overemphasize this point since I have stated before that my political persecution while in Cameroon and outside of Cameroon by the corrupt brutal CPDM regime , their militants and also by the corrupt Synod officials  of  the  Presbyterian Church in Cameroon is now the number one modus operandi for me fighting for freedom of Cameroon untiringly.

Under the US laws, political asylum is consider a very serious crime against an individual or people who become victims and subsequently surviving victims from their government or church  who  violated them in the process of denying  or depriving them of their rights to free speech , right to their political or religious opinion or their right to an appropriate moral belief system that honors human rights and governs human dignity according to the natural laws and universal principles of human dignity and the UDHR.

As I fight relentlessly to elevate the platform of asylum  as a mandatory reason why Cameroon must be free and also considering the fact that  thousands of other Cameroonians are also residing within the US as asylees, our case  is  very compelling and unprecedented. This is the case we must proceed with while also being very conversant of the fact that all other issues are critical.

Everywhere I have been physically or otherwise, I have not changed my position and story ,which has also been documented in Newspapers here in the United States making it even more dramatic and very convincing.I am very humble how these things are playing out and I have never lost faith in this struggle for I know that our freedom is coming.

In the wake of all these rather intriguing happenings, Dictator Paul Biya and CPDM government/regime are in a state of some rare form of panic mistrust among themselves. In fact , this is exactly what I wanted us to accomplish in the initial  phase of this struggle since I began to x-ray and expose the CPDM regime  to the US government and the outside world.

The thing about advocacy and activism is,you want to make sure you sensitize people and raise awareness in anyway possible through positive propaganda. In all these we must commend the world wide web, which has helped us to sustain the momentum of free speech as CPDM apparatus of manipulation and propaganda could not stop us from dishing out the truth and keeping up with it.

Then afterwards we have been consistent, persistent and focused ,which are all necessary to create the impact that is required to keep people talking and others angry and  suspicious of everyone around them. We have succeeded to get the US Congress talking although concrete action has not been taken and also we have sown seeds of suspicious and fear among the CPDM regime.

Consequently, with some mounting pressure coming from the pressure we are  also putting on the US officials and  the international community, it is clear that the dictator Paul Biya is completely confused and wondering why the arrests of his own members of government is not resonating?

The reason is simply, we have refused to buy into  his  vindictive politics ,which portrays him as invincible and above the  rule of law since he is also corrupt and has not accounted for his own stolen public funds and ill gotten wealth.

Most importantly, we have discredited his claim to be President  for life and although he is still clinging unto power, the force of truth based on the Constitution of Cameroon maintains that Dictator Paul Biya is illegitimate and illegal , and that regardless of whether he has some form of military power enabling him to attempt to hijack our constitution and civil rights, still he is not recognized under law as the President of Cameroon following  his gross violation of the constitution and convincing crimes against humanity.

Dictator Paul Biya awaits arrest and trial for the ordering the massacre of about 200 unarmed Cameroonian civilians in 2008 as well as the illegal imprisonment of hundreds of others who were caught up in his brutal crack down in a conspiracy with his  police commissioners and police officials. All these are well documented and available for review at the appropriate time

Here is our plan of action before the end of summer 2012  against dictator Paul Biya, CPDM regime and children of the CPDM kleptocracy within the United States of America. If you will like to be part of this action , you are more than welcome to indicate your interest physically, morally, spiritually and financially.

1) A detail complaint seeking for criminal investigation into the children of Cameroon kleptocracy living within the United States as executors of their parents ill gotten wealth and stolen public funds will be brought before the DHS and DOJ before the end of this month citing children that we recognize .

The DHS and DOJ have already created the appropriate legal structures and a powerful personnel that is charged under law to pursue the perpetrators of kleptocracy who are using US institutions and society as a safe haven for their stolen public funds and misappropriated funds as well as ill gotten wealth. So, we need not worry as all we need is be able to prove and demonstrate that there is probable cause to go after them and recover all the stolen public funds and ill gotten wealth meant for the Cameroon people.

2) As you all know in 2009, a law suit was first filed against the illegal presence of  the CPDM-USA with respect to the Foreign Agent Registration Act( FARA) but for some legal discrepancies the case did not survive the legal system and I decided to put it on hold pending an appropriate time to return to  court. This time we are going back to the courts to seek justice and begin to open a new chapter in our endeavor to hold the CPDM-USA accountable.

We must challenge the presence of CPDM-USA in this country under the Cameroon constitution and US Constitution with respect to the who members are paying allegiance as citizens. This means CPDM-USA will be forced to come out clean about their operations here and to get a better sense of what I am talking about you can read the memo sent out to CPDM-USA captioned" A reproach of CPDM-USA and a call for transparency and accountability"

3) Another complaint  will be filed against Cameroonians who became  US Citizens and committed perjury by lying to the government and the Church in order to continue to misrepresent themselves by hijacking positions in our society that are meant only for Cameroonian citizens by law. The case of the PCC will be sited as well as call for thorough investigation into  allege crimes committed by such individuals ,which violates US laws and have endangered  the lives of Cameroonians

If you are a lawyer and will like to take on any of these issues and work with us as a team ,please feel free to contact me.

You are also encourage to donate financially to cover the cost of this action and remember that we have a lot to do ,which including mass mailing, faxes and possible travels to contact different US officials in their offices in New York, Washington, DC and other parts of the country so long as any cause of action will culminate into a quick action by the US Congress .

I call upon you to pass it onto your friends and take action . We have come a long ways and only victory is not far fetched from now henceforth provided we all stand up and take action for freedom and rights of all people held in bondage and oppression in Cameroon.

Thanks for your continuous support and action

Free speech and truth: Why the CPDM is blowing the trumpet of President Obama and DFL: A Romney and GOP in the White House will mark an end to CPDM and Dictator Paul Biya of Cameroon

PRESIDENT OBAMA MUST BE UNSEATED BECAUSE THE CORRUPT CPDM REGIME OF CAMEROON UNDER DICTATOR PAUL BIYA WANT HIM SO BAD, IN BAD FAITH IN ORDER TO BE PRESIDENT FOR LIFE! FOR THIS REASON  I HONESTLY WANT THE GOP TO WIN

President Obama is a good man and have a good heart but I don't want him to be re-elected even though I know that he might succeed to be re-elected. If he is not re-elected, that will be very great for American people of color and us black Africans fighting for freedom.

If the CPDM fanatics are very excited about the DLF and President Obama,it is because the CPDM regime and dictator Paul Biya are already very comfortable with them with respect to Paul Biya's craving for life President.
A GOP win will definitely upset the political landscape of Africa and that means with all the pressure  on US Congress about a virtuous and free Cameroon society, the GOP won't  look the other way except to kick Paul Biya and CPDM out upon our request.
This is why I am praying to God almighty that for the sake of freedom and rights of all people to be free and treated with respect and dignity, President Obama and the DFL must be voted out of the White House and Congress otherwise we will have to mark time again for another 4 disappointing years when his second term will wrap up and pave the way for a smooth GOP win in 2016.

Through out history, the future of humanity has been entrusted into the hands of those who live with the wisdom and knowledge of God. Even with their own human failures, the GOP Party always has a strong recognizance of their own moral  and spiritual breakdown ,which when brought to their attention, immediate changes have been effected.
In that way, they have been viewed by those who think God is Gay and Lesbian, abortionist and appeaser of evil and injustice as racists ! Unfortunately, they are just some of the most gracious and kind- hearted fellows that do not believe that people should reap where they have not sown.
Most importantly, we need more than just being good and doing good to end evil when it is identified and called evil because evil does not care about the fundamental rights of all other people to life and all what it offers to everyone.

The GOP has been accused and cursed for being patriotic to their beloved country simply because they want to ensure that there is transparency and accountability as to who lives within their territory with ill -gotten wealth and stolen public funds! Children, supporters and friends of corrupt governments in Africa especially Cameroon hate to see the GOP in the White because they don't know what will happen next after the President George W Bush's 2004 NO SAFE HAVEN LAW targeting corrupt foreign nationals and their children using US institutions to perpetrate their corrupt activities is currently under enforcement.
It is like one step at a time  or to allude to the French Revolution Guilotine used against perceived enemies of the French Republic during the French  Revolution in 1789, " be patient your turn is coming"! This is what is very scary to the perpetrators of  corruption, theft of public funds and misappropriation of State resources like the CPDM Party and their followers within the USA.

For this reason, some CPDMers are very unsettled and engaged in the ANTI-MIT ROMNEY campaign by blowing his weaknesses out of proportion and simultaneously exaggerating the achievements of President Obama.
The truth is, we have reached a place in our struggle that only those who believe in the freedom of all people regardless of color or race  should be given a boost to lead the free world . This is not time to be sympathetic to the first black family as our people are oppressed while they are certain about their retirement and life long happiness.

The fact is many Americans have come to realize that President Obama is just another charismatic politician whose sole aim is to play politics and whatever it takes to win, his almost unmatched eloquence is a  powerful political instrument, which he employs like a missle against his opponents.
One cannot take this away from him but the trouble is we are living in an age where we need more than just politicians. We are desperately in search for honest and wise people  to continue to inspire and empower humanity to gravitate towards the ideals of a free world that were handed down to us by our forefathers. The voices of the victims of the slave era, colonization and Civil Rights epoch are crying for the truth.

Each time the GOP are in the White House more is done for Africans and Africa than when the DFL are in power. In fact, the GOP  Party are the only people who won't appease dictators and tyrants if they make their mind under pressure to distant themselves from such men.
On the contrary, the DFL have always felt that the current statuquo of peace without justice be maintained in the world to the extent ,which African Dictators are well known for hardly being comfortable with the GOP 's presence in the WH.

But it is not too late for the DFL to adjust their ways and stop preaching democracy in Cameroon in particular when we are not first of all free from dictatorship and tyranny.
I am always disappointed when DFL political initiatives are geared towards appeasing a dictator like Paul Biya. In fact, the DFL must  join us in condemning any elections in Cameroon ,which are going to be organized by dictator Paul Biya and CPDM Parliament because what they DFL must know is that more is expected of them.

They are the ones who have created the impression on my mind that as a black person  or " a people of color" the GOP will never value me for the substance and energy that we exude as black people fighting for the civil and human rights for people under oppression.
If I have determined from experience and education/knowledge as well as from empirical truth/facts that Cameroon is not a free nation and consequently cannot be qualified as a democratic process, this means no DFL should state the contrary.

We must settle for freedom and not Parliamentary redistribution and sharing of power under the auspices of the CPDM dictatorship machine. Those who are condoning must be reminded about the universal principles of human dignity as well as the values and faith upon ,which America is built.
All in all, we must get a Republican back into the White  House and let the black elite and black supremacists go and think twice about their unusual and  strange disconnect from the rest of us people of color or black people. After all  slavery was abolished by the Republicans and I trust that except there is a miracle in the pipeline from the DFL only the GOP will help us to free Cameroon and Africa.

In the meantime, let the US Senate act fast on the issues and concerns that I  have overbelabored in recent time. The entrenched leadership in Cameroon perpetrated by the State and the Church has taken a huge toll on our people and we must explore the root causes and immediately embark on preventive measures against entrenched leadership. I  have faith in the GOP and DFL are only good enough for this cause but will always want to remain neutral ,which is not acceptable and American.

Thank you and vote from your heart and conscience for change in the WHITE HOUSE so that President Obama can retire and join his fellow DFL colleague President Bill Clinton to tour Africa after all the children have been almost massacred by regimes that are against their own people. That is sad but that is the DLF who appease evil and injustice instead of supporting our drive for freedom  for the oppressed.

The Cameroon crusade for freedom: In loving memory of President Ronald Reagan, " Yea, We Must Be Free"

Subject: The
Cameroon crusade for freedom: In loving memory of President Ronald Reagan,

" Yea, We Must Be Free"

My fellow Cameroonians
My fellow Africans
My dear members of the free and virtuous nations
My  fellow advocates for freedom, human rights, civil rights and democracy

Yea, we must be free in Cameroon

I beckon  on all to become fellow crusaders for the freedom of my , country, Cameroon from totalitarian dictatorship and corrupt tyranny into a free and virtuous society

The  clarion call for the freedom of Cameroon was first published in 2009.
I also describe it as the "crusade for freedom" . The phrase " Crusade for Freedom"  was once beautiful coined and pronounced  by President Ronald Reagan
during a speech he presented to the London House of Commons on June 1982 .

In that same year dictator Paul Biya who was Cameroon's Prime Minister under President Amado Ahidjo  was appointed and imposed on us as the President for life. It is more than 30 years today and it is clear to me that some African totalitarians regimes have no ears to listen! So, I have  ears and this crusade for freedom of Cameroon MUST come to past.

"The Crusade for Freedom" by  President Ronald Reagan

President Reagan's Speech to the United Kingdom's House of Commons, June 8, 1982.
"We're approaching the end of a bloody century plagued by a terrible political invention -- totalitarianism. Optimism comes less easily today, not because democracy is less vigorous, but because democracy's enemies have refined their instruments of repression. Yet optimism is in order because day by day democracy is proving itself to be a not at all fragile flower. From Stettin on the Baltic to Varna on the Black Sea, the regimes planted by totalitarianism have had more than thirty years to establish their legitimacy. But none -- not one regime -- has yet been able to risk free elections. Regimes planted by bayonets do not take root..." President Ronald Reagan

Dictator Paul Biya of Cameroon and his CPDM-SDF regime are clear enemies of democracy . They chose dictatorship and corrupt tyranny over the democratic process by clinging to power for as long as they are living. Yet, simultaneously, they  run their mouths like parrots that they are democrats. So, take a moment to read and digest the  clarion call( crusade) for the freedom of Cameroon, which  is centerpiece of my advocacy for a virtuous and free society.

My dear people; listen to the Voices of the ones who beckon on you; wake up from slumber my people;do  you want to be free from the system of oppression ?

Yea, We Must be Free…

The CPDM Party of Cameroon are hypocrites who preach democracy and practice tyranny and dictatorship. In his warp political mind, dictator Paul Biya and his cronies invented something that was terribly strange, a kind of kleptocracy that can only be liken to " l'etat c'est moi"  of Louis the XIV ! In fact celebrated African scholar and author of how to get rid of a dictator", Professor George Ayittey noted in " Why African Dictators stay long in power" that

"First, they somehow get this absurd notion that the country belongs to them -- only them alone and their families – and must rule till cows jump over the moon. They act like the despotic French monarch, Louis XIV, who famously
declared: “L’Etat, c’est moi” (I am the State)"
  Prof George Ayittey

Fact is, they are  not entitled to the State or any political organization alone although they have made themselves to be the State Party like a State Religion through hook and crookery. They are bound to the Constitution and evidence point to a grave violation.

So, we are right. Any political party, which does not consider the Constitution good enough to be respected must not be tolerated to set a dangerous precedence like the totalitarian despots of old.   The last time that any religion was a State religion was in the 15th century.

No More State Parties or State Religions in the 21st century. That entitlement mentality to the State and State Property! President for life! Ministers for life! No declaration of assets for Life? Tyranny, dictatorship and corruption for life! Are we animals or human beings? Oh no,  I am here to tell my people we are human beings made in the same image of those who oppress us.Yea,it is our birth right to be free and I know you want to be free, do you?

Yea, We Must be Free

They are not eligible to organize or supervise elections in Cameroon per the Constitution. Moreso, nobody within the CPDM Party is eligible under the current rule of law to stand for any elections in Cameroon because they hasve stolen State property and public funds. They have violated the sacred document, which is the soul and conscience of the State. It is a treason and unfortunate. Nobody should encourage this kind of violation in this century. You must download the Constitutionexplore Articles 1, 2,3,4,5,6 and 66.The Constitution of Cameroon and Article 66 on this site:

We, the people cannot continue to be ruled by State Parties, which disenfranchises minorities and opponents in all elections. In Cameroon the State Party has deprived adults at 18 from voting. The make the voting age to be 20 because they cannot win an election, in which young people are part of the largest electorate. They banish young people from making their voices heard! Besides, only about 20% of Cameroonians are registered majority of whom are Pro –CPDM Party, which is the ruling or state party.

Their strategy is designed to rig elections even before they are ever conducted. It is ridiculous that black people would fight for voting rights within the United States around the 60s while in the 21st century some black people within Cameroon are really standing in the way of post-modernism and civilization. I cannot fathom the rate at which people and most importantly young Cameroonians are disenfrachised in that society.

Ironically their grand children or children who turn 18 within the United States are eligible to vote.It is wrong to downplay on youthful idealism or technically knock them out of the political cycle and at the sametime expect them to be leaders of tomorrow.

Their voices count and we must strive to make sure all people of ages must be registered to vote. I invite Cameroonians yearning for freedom to dialogue with me. I thank those who have been in touched with me either through emails or phone calls.

As I said, I am not in the habit of asserting too much importance to myself as the Presidential Candidate for the Transitional Government in Cameroon. I will continue with an open door policy of engaging Cameroonians because it is a great privilege for us to position ourselves as nation builders. Others have taken on this task centuries ago. We have seen and lived the benefits.

This is our own time. We are intelligent and courageous enough to turn a new page of history. We must pursue our vision as people who are moved beyond the stretch of our imagination by the history, politics and ideals of free people. I will unveil the details of the 21 points I submitted for your review by the end of this month.

In the meantime, we must continue to rekindle the spirit of humanity from within us so that we must rise us from the desert of defeatism and despair and make giant strides to the oasis of freedom. What thinkest thou about this dialogue?

“Tell me, Socrates, are we to consider you serious now or jesting? For if you are serious and what you say is true, then surely the life of us mortals must be turned upside down, and apparently we are everywhere doing an opposite of what we should”   Calliticles in Plato’s Georgia 481C, from Plato: The Republic

Should CPDM Party protect the citizens of the Republic? So, ifthese folks are instead cynical and clandestinely killing us then of what good is their Political Philosophy and their Sovereignty? I have long believed that there are jesters who have not only turned their own lives upside down but have made us look like we never took a class in History, Politics and leadership.

If they are truly doing the opposite of what they should then we must act.   Perhaps it makes sense when white people are fighting for freedom from black people or vice versa but it looks really weird when we, black people are fighting for freedom from own fellow black people. If all what I have been saying is true then the CPDM Party be charged for conspiracy against the Republic. Do you think that the CPDM really like freedom?

I will think so because what are they doing all over Europe and North America, which are free societies? Do you think they really know what they are doing? Do you think they really have eyes to see or they are blind people? What sort of people do you think are incharged of that CPDM Party? Do you think they appear very literate but not educated?   Do you remember the Berlin Wall?

At on August 13th, 1961 the construction of the Berlin Wall began. In the same year Cameroon finalized their quest for Independence from France and Britain. Since then the Berlin Wall has been demolished and 2009 marked the 20th anniversary since it was torn down. Oh, yea, they gained Independence and then turned around and erected walls of tyranny, dictatorship and corruption. It is about time for the walls of Jericho to fall down.

It is about time for the walls of dictatorship and tyranny to fall when the people of Cameroon, people who know God is on their side and they are God’s side to march in faith around the CPDM system.

Do we, Cameroonians still suppose that there is still a wall that separates Africans and the Westerners? I don’t think so because we Cameroonians who are within the Western world have become part of what you call “ The Western World”.

So, the first thing that we must do is to quit pointing the fingers at them and rather point them at ourselves and say “ We, the Western Cameroonians”. May be we have become very comfortable with Western civilization and ideals and failing to realize our hypocrisy.

Some of us are here blasting Western civilization and culture and yet are basking under it! Why are we attracted to the way of life of white people and yet when it comes to an effort to export some aspects of it to other societies they start telling us something else? Look at ourselves very well  in the mirror of Calliticles.

They always told us when we were young that Western Democracy is different from Cameroon Democracy! How and why should there be a difference and what are we then doing here within the Western world? Oh no, please, you make us feel that we are very fine hypocrites. Do we still want to put up with these imposters or want to be free?

                       Yea, we must be free

When the people capture the moment and know that the time has come for them to be free, when they hear the voices of the ones who dare speak on their behalf, my people do you want to be free?  Then we, the people, here and over there, endowed with unalienable and sacred rights, no matter where they are, the people turn around and stir at each other as they rise up and shout at the top of their voices:

Yea, we must be free!

Cameroon Government's involvement with CAMCCUL breeds foul play because of a long standing culture of embezzlement, theft of public funds and misappropriation : A call for transparency and accountability with the 53 Billion frs CFA...

CAMCCUL stands for Cameroon Cooperative Credit Union League where the interest of thousands of shareholders in the North West Province of Cameroon, Bamenda  may be at stake with the involvement of the notorious corrupt CPDM regime.

This is  what has ignited  this debate between Mr Fon Emmanuel Ngang( FEN), Mr Boh  Hebert, myself Rev Jonathan Awasom and Mukoi Elkanah. There  is a growing need for open transparency and accountability  as the hallmarks for good governance and the rule of law, which is why I am putting pressure on.

So, take a moment to appreciate this debate and draw your own conclusions from what you know about the role of government in fostering development and progress but most importantly, why many of us press for transparency and accountability with big corporate financial institutions like CAMCCUL especially when they are involved with the corrupt CPDM regime notorious for being anti- develoment and progress of civil society.

In short Mr Boh Hebert was very skeptical about this deal between CAMCCUL and CPDM government and I  seconded his skepticism because we all know that the CPDM regime has bad faith in everything they are involved in as a dying system  whose goal these days is to ruin and destroy all viable financial institutions in Cameroon before they crumble. That is why we are mobilizing all forces of progress and advocates for human rights to stand up and hold CAMCCUL and CPDM government( illegal and illegitimate government) accountable.

Herbert,
A tiger can never forget its tigritude. The sharp critical journalist in you just kicked in  immediately you read this CAMCULL /BUC connection -  and you are absolutely right .
But I am sure you will not blame some of us for being too anxious after reading "hopeful" developments such as these. Well, unfortunately it wasn't any development to begin with  and even if it was, as you said, it could only mean disaster for the ordinary NW farmer as long as it had all of Satan's blessings from Yaounde

Mukoi Elkanah

You claimed to be a trained accountant in the United States of America and here you are speculating on CAMCCUL instead of helping us on how to get to the bottom of this matter!

Either you are an imposter or an illiterate who needs some serious re-education beyond your treatment for mental disorder.  You are speculating instead of x-raying this matter from a professional standpoint so that people see the disconnect and lurking exploitation. There is lack of  transparency and accountability ,which must be addressed accordingly and not through wreckless speeches.

We need legal experts as well as economic experts from the civil society to step up with a good conscience and protect CAMCCUL , which might be hijacked by the Bamenda elite in a conspiracy with CPDM regime to manipulate and dupe the majority of shareholders who are not informed of such deep economic schemes. I am an advocate with knowledge of the ethical responsibility of CAMCCUL towards civil society and the CAMCCUL shareholders. So, stop repeating all what we already know.

Here you're claiming to be an account and a Ph.D candidate in some aspect of  Business administration.
One has never  been very clear as to what is your field of studies but I recall you boasting as a Ph.d candidate
You are too full of speculative thoughts, which comes across to one like you are an illiterate

From a professional standpoint, what is your take on this matter quite apart from the same old blame game?We already know that it is a scheme but what are the professional ways through, which we can hold them accountable in terms of the transparency and accountability? We need a document detailing what is going on made available to civil society and the international community from CAMCUL and not only some scanty new flashes that have no substance .

This is what I am saying. In the economic banking system, we have a savings and checking accounts as the main accounts available to  bankers. One of the accounts, which is the savings account is expected to yield interests for the owner granted that his money can be used for business by the bank owners

Then you have the bank owners who freely sell stucks or shares to people. Can I say that the bank owners are known as stakeholders who may be Board of Directors of the bank. The bank staff constitute the board of management under a Bank Manager. So, the shareholders have certain rights since they have invested into the bank. Here we have CAMCCUL as a CREDIT UNION! Can you help us to understand in detail what is a credit union and how it operates?

So, if the CPDM Government Delegate is negotiating to draw a large sum of money from the bank and claiming that the amount is earmarked for development projects in the Bamenda Central Urban Council, then to someone like with a deep knowledge and understanding of leadership and business management has the following questions to CAMCCUL Bank Manager and Board of Directors

1) Who are the auditors of CAMCCUL
2) How did the said amount earmarked for development projects  in  Bamenda come about?
3) In what ways are the shareholders and stakeholders involved with this amount?
4) Explain to civil society how CPDM government delegate got involved and is it a loan to the Government?
5) When will the government pay back this loan to CAMCCUL and who is defined here as government?
6) Where is the Budget for the projects for ,which the loan is earmarked?

Budgeting has a  whole new chapter on its own because it has to do with INCOME AND EXPENDITURES IN TERMS OF THE NUMBER OF PROJECTS AND THE EXECUTORS OF THE PROJECTS

WHO
WHAT
WHEN
WHERE
WHY

These are some of the basic questions that ensures that we have transparency and accountability

I strongly belief this is a scheme by Cameroon Gov't officials. CAMCCUL is made up of various credict Unions in the Northwest. I just can't belief that the other credit Unions in the other divisions will accept that such an amount be invested only in Bamenda. Take for example, the road to Mbangwi is untarred. Do you really think that the Mbengwi credit Union will accept that their share be taken and used to tar roads in Bamenda when they don't even have a meter of tar leading to their town? I have spoken to some members of the Wum credit Union and they are absolutely unware of such a project. They have vowed to withdraw from CAMCCUL if such an adventure is executed. I told them that, one of the founding member of the Wum credit Union in person of late Pa Moses Akum will be very angry to hear such a thing if they were involved in such a deal. The road to Wum is very bad, so why will they prefer to used Wum peoples money to tar Bamenda instead of looking for their interest? I am on this case and that deal will be disrupted.

For the Record:
CAMCUL is a a combination of credit unions around the country. The fight is on, Biya and his Gov't will not succeed. If they want to spend their millions with farmer's monies in the NW, then what about the other 9 regions? Cameroonians need to stand up against this newly created fraudulent scheme.

Mr Boh Hebert you make a very useful and eye opening case ,which we must not take lying down
The truth is who are the stakeholders and shareholders of  the said CAMCCUL and what is their role in this move undertaken by the CPDM Government Delegate and the Council in terms of their rights?  This kind of political games may not be well known by the shareholders or stakeholders ,which is why we must be concerned.

While I see with you, I suggest that you lead an action so that we begin to map out a strategy to ensure that we get to the bottom of this matter as a potential human rights theft of public funds, embezzlement and misappropriation and begin to mobilize  legal forces to be ready to prosecute and sentence

Are there members of the SDF shareholders and stakeholders because that can be an opportunity for a social justice activism on the whole platform of the SDF Party. What do you think? I am copying SDF Party with this question

Over to you

Dear FEN,

This is not a "wait and see" matter. The thief is in the house. It's time to cry thief. A roach does not wait in the hope it would be found not guilty in an assembly of hens. This thing is full of cons and no pros. It's a scam that stinks to high Heaven.

To the questions you raised:

1. Don't you think CAMCCUL has figured out how to get repaid.

I hope they have. But, hope is not a plan and it is not a guarantee. If the Cameroon government wants to provide a guarantee, they could have approached an institution like the World Bank's MIGA. The government of Cameroon cannot be trusted to honor its word and pay its debts. Period! It does not matter what it says or promises.

2. This is a lot of money.

You bet! It is the kind of money that a credible government would seek and obtain from a development agency like the World Bank or the African Development Bank. But they have no credibility (firstly) and they know fully well (secondly) that for difficulty of obtaining repayment that even the World Bank does not lend to sub-sovereign entities such as regional or local governments and municipalities.

3. You suggested: I am sure there is a strategy in place for tax payers to foot the place.

Wishful thinking, would be my response. If there is one, let CAMCCUL publish it and let the government say how they intend to honor this one particular commitment when they have never honored any word they gave to anyone. Have they honored their commitment to retirees? Have they used revenue from toll to repair roads, as they claimed? The answer is NO. And this is in spite of the fact that the Road Fund was created at the instigation of institutions like the IMF & World Bank and despite the fact funds from it are deposited with BEAC.

4. Is there no FDIC-type guarantee for deposits by clients in case CAMCCUL goes belly up?

You know the answer, my brother. There is nothing. Nada. Zero. Zip. Nathing. The same government whose goal is to "tif pipul their money" cannot guarantee to return that which they are bent on stealing. They did not return for Cameroon Bank or Credit Agricole. What Yaounde is dojng in effect is asking CAMCCUL to "make erreur for mbotukuh" and provide them "ndamme for ndoss".

This scam amounts to a run on CAMCCUL engineered by the government. Clients of the institution should not standby and let it happen.

There are questions begging for answers that point to the case I make that this a 419 operation. Among them:

Why is CAMCCUL being made the lender of last resort? Why not the World Bank or the African Development Bank?

Why has there been all the interest among government officials of all wolf clothing to have control over CAMCCUL the latest show of which was by the last North West governor?

If Yaounde thought the Credit Union was a partner in development, why all the recent hostility towards it? Was it hostile because it wanted to access its deposit and CAMCCUL was not cooperating?

Why has the current leadership of the Credit Union been allowed, encouraged and even blessed to overstay their mandatory welcome?

I can go on, but know there is no need to do so. We are describing a government which survives only by stealing to the point that it robs its right pockets to put the money in its left pockets. It's a government that steals votes even when it is adding up final tallies provided by itself. This is a government under whose supervision insurance companies companies do not even cover what they purport to. This a government that can claim tomorrow that this loan was a donation from CAMCCUL.

Hello Herbert, I would like to agree with you but at the same time,  don't you think CAMCULL must have figured out how to recover its money? That is quite some money we are talking of here and I am sure there is a strategy in place where tax payers will eventually foot the bill as they should. Finally is there no Cameroon version of the FDIC which can insure savings   thereby  making sure depositors do not loose their savings in banks through bad loans?
Its good that such criticisms come early so that we know what we are getting into. I am sure CAMCULL must have been advised to study the situation before getting into it.
The figure of 54 billion is definitely not an arbitrary figure   calculated by Rexon Nting, so I think experts on both sides must have grappled with all the pros and cons before making this thing public. Anyway lets wait and see.

It would seem (to me at least) that unfortunately and at long last the corrupt bankrupt government of Cameroon has found a way to do with CAMCCUL what they perpetuated on Cameroon Bank and Cameroon Marketing Board.
It seems Yaounde is finally getting its hands on the keys to the North West Region's candy store. And, as at Cameroon Bank and the Marketing Board, the regime will do what it does best: "chop broke pot".
CAMCCUL holds the bulk of the savings of the rainy day conscious people of the North West Region. Should that financial institution fund the Biya government as this article suggests it is about to do, its members can kiss their hard-earned savings adieu.
There are red flags all over this thing. This is a scam, a 419 scheme that will thoroughly "fey" CAMCCUL and the predominantly poor farmers who bank with it. We must not forget that it was a scam of this nature that sparked some of the revolutions in parts of the former USSR. More recently, a 419 scheme of the same ilk dealt a merciless blow to poor farmers across Benin Republic in West Africa.

Can the illegitimate and "tiffing" government of Mr. Biya and the unelected government delegates acting on their behalf tell us if the roads in Yaounde, Douala or Ebolowa were funded by resources drawn from private citizens' savings or were they funded by the state budget? This is a government that does not pay its civil servants for their service and does not honor it's IOUs. It is a government that owes everyone and their grandmother, beginning with me. It is a government that abuses the word immunity. This is a government that runs its own airline company to the ground or is capable of shooting its own planes down. This is a government that collects reparations meant for bereaved families of a crash and puts away the funds in private coffers. This is the regime that has robbed Cameroonians blind for the past 30 years.

Now, they have finalky entered the gates of Abakwa town. It is Ali Baba himself and the forty thieves who are knocking on the vault of CAMCCUL and the latter opens at its members' financial peril.

I have said my own, as our people say. Let no one say tomorrow that "I nobin talk".

CAMCCUL to Fund B'da Council Projects Worth 53 Bn FCFAMonday, July 09, 2012

By Michael NdiCameroonPostline.com -- The Cameroon Cooperative Credit Union League (CAMCCUL) Ltd will make available 53 billion FCFA to fund major projects of the Bamenda City Council beginning in 2013. This was disclosed at a recent annual general meeting of CamCCUL, which held in Bamenda recently. During the meeting, Bamenda city hall Government Delegate Vincent Nji Ndumu hailed CamCCUL for alleviating poverty, curbing rural – urban exodus, improving standards of living, alleviating poverty and fighting unemployment in the Northwest Region and Cameroon as a whole. He disclosed that the grand councilors of his city council gave him the go-ahead to source for funds to enable the council execute the catalogue of projects in its recently presented strategic plan. According to Vincent Ndumu, CAMCCUL will fund the tarring of 280km of roads within the city to the tune of FCFA 50 Billion FCFA and the construction of the multi-purpose bus station at Up-Station, Bamenda ,to the tune of 3 billion FCFA 53Billion. Earlier, while presenting the city council’s strategic plans to the public in Bamenda, the Government Delegate was hailed when he announced that a canal would be constructed in Bamenda through which all the streams within the city council would be channeled and empty in the municipal lake that will equally be constructed soon. When this is accomplished, all the wetlands of the municipality would have been transformed into dry land suitable for building areas. At the CAMCCUL general meeting, the crisis which rocked institution some months ago was led to rest. The scores of CAMCCUL delegates from all the 10 Regions of the country unanimously shamed the CamCCUL detractors who triggered the crisis. In their 19-point resolution, the delegates vehemently condemned acts of blackmail, sabotage “and the divulging to the public of network’s sensitive information by some credit union officials”. Due to the disruption of CamCCUL network activities by certain detractors of the system in Bamenda, certain issues which are of primordial importance to CamCCUL survival, like the taxation problems, delinquency, the stability of the network’s bank (UBC PLC) was reported to have been neglected by CamCCUL management whose attention is now diverted to resolving these problems, thus leading to serious setbacks in the organisation’s operations. “Promoters of such unscrupulous acts shall be severely sanctioned,” the delegates warned. On the issue of the mandate of CamCCUL and Credit Union Presidents, it was resolved that in the process of amending the Articles of Association of CamCCUL, Model By-laws of the Credit Unions and the Alternate Dispute Resolution Policy was concluded on December 3, 2011 in Buea during the extraordinary meeting of CamCCUL and the credit unions have already started applying these internal laws. The assembly resolved that individual credit unions shall freely carryout new elections using their by-laws adopted by CamCCUL general assembly on the December 3, 2011 in Buea. Credit union presidents henceforth have a 3-year mandate renewable thrice.

I really do hope i get the figures rightly!! 280Km of tarred roads in Bamenda!!! This is more than tremendous; this project will go a long way to transform Bamenda in a very short while!! I thank God everyday for the fact that Bamenda indigenes are not appointed to post of responsibility, this way, we are left to feign for ourselves!! These are the results of neglect each drop of several 100frsCFA by thousands being reinvested to build a town! Yaounde will try to kill this project i am afraid!! Please, we should stand as one man to be sure this is not only a dream, but a reality!!

If there is promise for the commonman to start enjoying the fruit of CamCCUL then why should they not join them to be part of a family that wins. Our renouned commercial banks have come and gone with customers money. CanCCUL has proven that they have come to stay with their customers interest at the centre of their business. That is good CamCUL we are behind you. Let others copy your example.

Regardless of the outcome these are plans that give hope to a people. It unites them and instills a feeling of belonging to a region or nation at large. If projects like these are going on, there is a tendency that people will focus on the progress of the projects and not the bank accounts of the leadership. Unfortunately it is premature to sit down and hope for the best so long as the regime in Yaounde has the power to influence things on the ground. We also hope the Bamenda general hospital would be improved in a way that patients receive real treatment complete with meals, real medical/hospital beds and sheets to go along with it and the whole placed reorgansied so as to generate more revenue for upkeep. The Cameroon people and the Bamenda people especially are prepared to pay their way as long as quality goods and services are delivered. We can eventually be able torefund the loan from The Credit Union as long as every project can be designed to generate money for its own upkeep
