Global Conscience Network: African immigrants within the United States must be responsible and vigilant in protecting the Homeland : Email to Senator Robert Menendez, Congressman Chris Smith and Congressman Donald Payne Jr

Dear Senators Robert Menendez, Congressman Chris Smith and Congressman Donald Payne Jr

Sincere greetings to all of you .

I saw a suspicious package this morning and called the police . I want other African immigrants to become responsible and vigilant, too! If we are all vigilant and responsible, we can all detect and report suspicious activities and suspicious people in a timely fashion.

This morning I was walking to the Park to exercise and while on my way, I saw a black paper ,which appeared loaded with bottles and it was lying at the door steps of the Roman Catholic Church in our city. It appeared very suspicious and I was very concerned and decided that I would call the attention of the police by dialing 911. Behold, as I turned behind me, a police car was approaching and I patriotically stopped him and showed him the package! He took care of the situation while I walked away ! This is what I called police partnership with the civil society and this civic engagement is lacking among African immigrants through out the United States.

As immigrants on political asylum or DVD lottery and others, it is important that we play our own role towards ensuring that the homeland is secured and safe for everyone. If  all immigrants in this country are proactive in terms of being watchful( vigilant) and stepping up to the plate by helping the police, FBI and CIA we will have an active civil society vigilant force capable of easily detecting some of the bad guys amongst us who seem determined to hurt others.

New immigrants are quick to blame the Congress and Federal government for being tough on immigration  matters and often I am sick and tired of the complaints of these immigrants! We need to get these immigrants shift their thinking patterns ,which is only about better immigration policies for themselves but they also need  to focus on the civic engagement of immigrants. The lack of civic engagement amongst immigrants like being a vigilant force is mind boggling and this is something that we should address and I will be very open to be of any assistance in this area

Therefore, the Federal government and Congress need to raise awarness, educate and call upon  African immigrants to be vigilant and responsible in improving the homeland security of the United States . I am speaking from this standpoint as an African who has an astute insight into the nonchalance and negligent behavior of African immigrants when it comes to holding people accountable and also doing what is right! Some of them think that it is not their business to report ie see something and say something. This is largely due to lack of knowledge and proper upbringing in some of  their primitive and corrupt African societies where there is no rule of law.

While, We are very sorry for the violent activities of some of the twisted minds and wasted souls out there who planted a bomb to disrupt and sabotage the Boston Marathon, I thought it worthwhile to be very honest with my deepest sentiments about how we can move forward from here in terms of complimenting and completing the work that the police and other homeland security forces and officials are doing. The African immigrants are missing in action and we need to get them on board.

In this light,on behalf of the Global Conscience Network, I urge the United States Congress and the Federal government in alliance with the Department of Homeland Security to step up the effort in educating the new immigrant population  in this country to be more responsible especially these immigrant from African continent.

From my personal experience with African immigrants, about 95% of black people from Africa who are either legal or illegal in this country do not understand the concept of   citizen vigilance, which is the moral obligation to " see something and say something". Many of them tend to erroneously  think that they are not supposed to report any suspicious activities or any person who is involved in any activity with the intent to break the law! These African immigrants consider it a taboo to report their fellow Africans and even other citizens committing crimes because of the following reasons;

1) Some are afraid of retaliation and persecution from their  communities composed of twisted minds and wasted souls

2) Some  are ignorant and naive as they don't know the working mechanism between government and the citizens/civil society with regards to good governance and the rule of law

3) Some believe that it is evil, wicked and unkind to report people who commit crimes or who indulge into any suspicious activity that can hurt others. That is why many Cameroon-American immigrants are very frustrated with me.

Since 2005 when I was endowed by the great American spirit and soul I became very enlightened by more truths ,which has helped me to become a very responsible and vigilant citizen of the world. Quite apart from volunteering and helping to make a difference, I have also done what is right in the following ways;

a) I have called the police on  a man at Kinkos in Minnesota who walked into the store and picked a quarrel with his wife or girl! As I sat at the computer and noticed that he began to hit the lady so violently and I was alarmed and called the attention of the store manager. He then called the police and the man was arrested and charged

b) While living in Richfield Minnesota, the apartment complex had violated  one of the City Ordinances by living the main entrance doors ajar! As so happened, many drug traders invaded the building and put the security of many resident at risk. So, I called the attention of the City of Richfield to this and immediate action was taken. The drug traders left the building and the doors were replaced and secured.

c) Some people who got involved in human trafficking and money laundering were also reported taken up and behold some of  the traffickers stopped trading in people and  collecting money from families to transport them to the United States.

d) In 2009, I filed a complaint against the
CPDM regime and their surrogates here in the United Ststes because we have to stop corrupt foreigners from entering this country. It is important that the we do not take dictators out in the world for granted because some of them have agents in this country who are determined to hurt Americans and their good friends like us who are here to cherish,love and protect this great civilization

My Senator and Congressmen I urge you all to take these salient points seriously and if you'll like me to be of any assistance to pursue this conversation towards making sure that every person living off of the United States should learn how to give back by being vigilant, let me know!

Thank you for your interest and God will continue to bless the United States of America and may the victims at the Boston Marathon bombing know that we shall never bow to twisted minds and wasted souls. We are free people and this freedom is available to people who desire it and using fear and scare tactics against free people is counter-productive. America is always very compassionate and generous with their freedom.

Yours sincerely

Jonathan
